Ross managed to get us these giant plastic domes that we could borrow from uni so we could use them in our experiments. We thought we'd test them around uni before taking them out into town to inflate...
It was so cool!
View from below
The sides that were pressed against the walls formed some interesting patterns which contrasted with the smooth surface of the rest of the bubble.
This photo is in the wrong orientation, but I thought it looked pretty cool like this.
When we inflated the bubble in the 3rd floor studio, the plastic looked very wrinkled but when we inflated it in this space, the wrinkles were less noticeable.
This test experiment was very successful (And fun)! Now all we have to do is find where we can do this in town.

Cell Structure

This is a close up image of a plants cellular structure which I chose this image to copy onto my windmill for the initial experement. I am interested in the potential for future materials to grow and evolve creating structures and systems that are more organic and adaptable as found in natural ellements. Also the potential to harness, program and control living or semi-living materials.
Past and Present
Here are some old images of Wellington I have found. Since we are looking foward 30 years I found it useful to look back 30+ years and see how much things have changed.
